Job Description

1. Needs: 5
2. Position Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring proper pickup and delivery of Tyson products. Driver must live in a defined hiring area. Must be willing to run all 48 states and drive various hours and days of the night. Need to be able to deliver to all Tyson Locations and Tyson Customer Locations per their requirements. Drivers must be compliant with all regulations stated in Section 391.11 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations Book.
3. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Must use safe lifting techniques. Regularly open a CMV's hood, open/shut trailer doors, and operate landing gear. While performing duties, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, balance, stoop, talk, or hear. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. Must recognize audible alerts from industrial equipment and vehicles. Environment includes working on wet, slippery, hot, dry, dusty, and cold surfaces. Personal Protective Equipment such as hearing protection, reflective vests, and closed-toed shoes are required when outside the truck.
4. Safety: TM is expected to follow all safety policies, identify, address, and mitigate safety risks. Training will be provided on safety procedures.
5. Job Requirements: Must pass a DOT urine and hair follicle test.
6. Minimum Qualifications: Verifiable CDL A Tractor Trailer experience of 9 months in the last 12 months or 12 months in the last 3 years. No preventable accidents or DUI/DWI/OUI convictions in specified periods. No positive DOT drug/alcohol tests or refusals in the last 3 years. Cannot have more than 8 driving jobs or 3 terminations from Tyson Foods in the last 3 years.
