Job summary

GEX Transport is offering a trainee driving position with paid over-the-road training and a Driver Mentor. Home time is two weeks on the road and two days at home. Compensation ranges from $1,300 to $1,500 per week for new drivers.

Experienced drivers may qualify for higher pay. Requirements include being at least 21 with a CDL Class A, completion of a CDL school (120 hours), a clean MVR, and the ability to pass a DOT drug screen.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 21 with a valid CDL Class A license.
• CDL school certificate with at least 120 hours.
• Clean MVR and background.
• Ability to pass D.O.T drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Complete all required inspections.
• Deliver freight safely and on schedule.
• Operate a Class A tractor trailer on long haul routes.
• Maintain accurate logs and trip paperwork.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch and driver managers.
