You will transport finished goods, inspect vehicles, maintain logs, and provide customer service during unloading while adhering to safety rules. We offer a $0.56 per mile rate plus per diem, a $4,000 sign-on bonus paid quarterly in year one, and a full benefits package starting after the first full month.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–12 months of commercial motor vehicle driving experience.
• High school education or GED preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations.
• Willing to undergo background/drug checks and provide employment references.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods over land to and from retail centers.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance; log miles and keep receipts.
• Provide customer service as unloading point of contact.
• Follow trucking regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions.
• Verify delivery instructions and report defects or violations.
• Refuel, clean the truck, and wash windows.

Seeking Full-Time OTR Class A Truck Driver to deliver designated routes for our truck cover manufacturing company located in Elkhart, Indiana.

Full-Time Truck Driver

Deliver finished goods while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several states. Assist in unloading products while recording the amount and type of cargo being delivered.

The current rate per mile is $0.56 cents a mile plus per diem pay. We offer a full benefit package that starts the first full month following the date of hire. $4,000.00 Sign on bonus, paid out $1,000.00 per quarter for the driver's first year.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods over land to and from retail centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Drive planned routes and meet delivery schedules; document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Provide customer service as the point of contact during the unloading process
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc.) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions, report defects, accidents, or violations
• Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows

Requirements

• Proven working experience as a truck driver with a minimum of 6 -- 12 months of commercial motor vehicle driving experience required.
• High school education or GED preferred
• Valid truck driving license
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations

License(s) and/or certificate(s)

• Valid commercial driver's license with acceptable class A driving record
• Class A CDL required for this truck driving position
• Possess current DOT Health Card or ability to pass DOT physical (responsible for DOT renewal)

Physical Demands

• Lift/carry 25 or more pounds, climb, twist, bend, stoop, squat to floor level including throughout trailer.
