Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle heavy lifting and manual transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive various types of trucks, including box trucks and vans, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks, ensuring the safe handling of goods.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
• Assist in planning routes to optimize delivery efficiency while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is highly desirable.
• Previous experience as a van driver or courier is a plus.
• Strong ability to perform heavy lifting as required by load specifications.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with clients during deliveries.
• Experience operating pallet jacks and other loading equipment is beneficial.
