Location: Mattoon, IL (with potential expansion to additional sites) | Schedule: Full-Time, on-site, with flexible options for 7-On/7-Off, Alternate-Week, or Commuter Rotations | Compensation: $700,000 annually

Overview

A well-established regional healthcare facility is seeking a full-time, Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) Otolaryngologist (ENT) to join its growing surgical program. This is an opportunity to step into an established service area with significant patient demand, a strong referral network, and comprehensive surgical infrastructure to build a thriving practice.

What you'll do

• Provide high-quality clinical and surgical ENT interventions across a broad general otolaryngology scope, including general ENT, rhinology, laryngology, otology, and pediatric ENT
• Utilize state-of-the-art surgical suites at the main Mattoon operating rooms and outpatient surgery center, with options to support expansion and outpatient cases at an additional facility
• Design and establish a personalized practice schedule, with leadership open to non-traditional blocks such as 7-on/7-off or every-other-week rotations for regional or out-of-state commuting physicians
• Collaborate closely with an extensive internal primary care and pediatric referral network to manage high-volume patient backlogs
• Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and timely electronic medical records for all clinical encounters, surgical documentation, and patient follow-up care

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
• Successful completion of an accredited Otolaryngology Residency program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Otolaryngology
• Active, unrestricted Illinois state medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain)
• Valid DEA registration
• Excellent clinical judgment, surgical skill, and a collaborative mindset suited to an expanding regional surgical program

Compensation and benefits

• $700,000 annually base compensation
• Production bonuses paid on all RVU output exceeding the base guarantee
• $100,000 sign-on incentive, fully forgiven after one (1) year of service
• Annual quality incentive up to 10% of base salary (capped at $50,000) upon meeting baseline metrics once the practice is fully established
