A healthcare staffing agency is looking for a medical professional in Birmingham, AL, to perform non-treatment exams on a PRN basis. Candidates should have a background in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery, and be proficient in interview-based assessments and physical evaluations. Qualifications

• Willing to accept specialties related to general medicine.
• Experience with C&P exams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Work PRN and complete DMA training as required.

Birmingham, AL - per diem office available

1099 compensation:
- $600 for half day (4 hours)
- $1300 for full day (8 hours)
- $650 for completing all required training and starting assignment

Details:

• Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
• Willing to accept these specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, etc, or anyone with a background in general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension.
• Two (2) options for coverage - Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and/or schedule Veterans within your own practice
• Option to work days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)
• One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
• Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing.
• No prescribing, no treatment
• Quick credentialing & onboarding
• dma certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
• Use of Goniometer required
• Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
• Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
• Own personal laptop (NO MACs)

The provider will need to complete their DMA training.
