Position Description - Warehouse Associate

NC MedAssist is North Carolina’s only nonprofit, statewide free pharmacy. Our programs assist our neighbors with medication access needs by providing prescription and over-the-counter medication at no cost. Our mission is to dispense opportunities through improved health.

JOB SUMMARY:

The OTC Warehouse Associate is part of a dynamic, multifaceted Free OTC Store Team. This is a temporary (120-day) position that is responsible for providing excellent customer service and efficient management of OTC inventory. The position will report to the Transitional Jobs Program Director and will work closely with the OTC Program Manager. Some weekend and night work may be required. Normal operating hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with a half hour unpaid lunch.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Sort, organize, store and retrieve inventory for store distribution
  2. Conduct receiving protocol for deliveries
  3. Perform box inventory count and space management
  4. Manage item inventory for donated products and shipments
  5. Lift, transfer, stack, load boxes weighing at least 40 pounds
  6. Select, pack and ship OTC medicine to participating clinic partners
  7. Maintain motivation to assist customers, volunteers, teammates, or visitors
  8. Adhere to warehouse safety standards
  9. Perform warehouse recovery daily
  10. Work with event manager and others to prepare for a mobile free pharmacy event
  11. Other duties as assigned
