ADP, Inc. in Hialeah, FL is seeking an OTC Clerk to assist patients by answering calls, processing OTC orders, and maintaining clean, organized work areas in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role requires excellent customer service, and bilingual Spanish and English is preferred. Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology is a plus, with responsibilities including order entry, form review, and helping patients complete OTC forms.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone inquiries, referring to OTC orders and place the order for our patients.
• Maintain a very good professionalism and customer service in the department.
• Receive and help the patients to complete the OTC form in an appropriate manner (name, address, DOB, phone).
• OTC clerk has the total responsibility to review the OTC form with the patient.
• Enter in the system 80 to 100 orders per day when applicable.
• Operate cash register and handle cash when required.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILTIES

• Answer telephone inquiries, referring to OTC orders and place the order for our patients.
• Maintaina verygood professionalism anda customerservice in the department.
• Maintain and clean equipment, work areas, or shelves.
• Receive and help the patients to complete the OTC form inan appropriate mannerincluding always(Member’sname, address, date of birth and phone number)
• OTC clerk has the total responsibility ofereiveandreviewthe OTC form with the patient.
• Review carefullyallthe patient’s information and items that theyare requesting.
• Perform tasks,such ascompiling andmaintainingordersrecords.
• Answering phones and responding to questionsregards tothe OTC form.
• OTC clerk has the responsibility to enter in the system at least 80 to 100 orders per day.
• OTC clerk has the responsibilityto have the basic knowledge of the OTC form content.
• OTC clerk has the responsibility to call those patients that pick up in the clinic on time and ensure that they pick up their order as soon as the orderarriveto the clinic.
• Operate cash register and handle cash and other types of tender if its required.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
