Cognizant is seeking a Test Automation Engineer for OTA validation in Dearborn, MI. You will work on OTA software upgrades, ECU flashing, and in-vehicle testing across 3G/4G TCUs, NAVI, and HMI modules. Proficiency in Python/C# and tools like DSPACE, CANOE/CANALYZER is required.

Responsibilities include creating test strategies, executing cycles, capturing logs, and collaborating with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve issues. A BS in CS/Engineering is required and sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience creating software updates and deploying OTA.
• Experience in ECU flashing and OTA software updates in vehicles.
• Testing for stress, functional, feature and core hotfixes within tight schedules.
• OTA validation experience for 3G/4G TCUs, NAVI, HMI modules.
• Test strategies, plans and cycles with Jira.
• Capture MLT logs and root-cause OTA issues.
• Test automation using Python, C#, ECU tests, etc.
• Experience with HIL validation platforms (DSPACE) and testing tools (Vector CANOE/CANALYZER).
• Experience with issue/defect/version management tools (JIRA, Github, SVN).
• Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with Product/Feature Owners to understand requirements.
• Conduct defect status/review meetings with stakeholders (cloud, mobile app, TCU, BCM).
• Knowledge of UDS, DIAG over CAN, DOIP, CAN, LIN protocols.
• CAN Flash using DET tools and logs analysis with CANoe/CANalyzer; in-vehicle recovery methods.
• ECU testing knowledge; CAPL scripting is a plus.
• Support DevOps in CI/CD scripting using Python.
