Job summary

TechDoQuest is seeking a Backend QA engineer to design and execute test cases for OTA update delivery systems. You will validate backend services, test rollout mechanisms, and ensure database integrity during updates.

The role requires 2+ years in backend testing, strong OTA knowledge, and experience with Python/Java and REST APIs. Collaboration with DevOps and product teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend testing or QA experience.
• Strong understanding of OTA update mechanisms and device firmware distribution.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, or C++ for test automation.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and HTTP protocols.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
• Understanding of testing methodologies and test design.
• Experience with Postman, JMeter, and pytest testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test cases for OTA update delivery systems.
• Validate backend services responsible for firmware and software distribution.
• Test update rollout mechanisms, including progressive rollouts and staged deployments.
• Verify database integrity and consistency during update processes.
• Conduct load and stress testing on OTA infrastructure.
• Identify, document, and track defects with reproduction steps.
• Perform regression testing after fixes and updates.
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipeline improvements with backend, DevOps, and product teams.
• Document test strategies, plans, and results; participate in code reviews from QA perspective.
