Job summary

The Staff Pad in Helena, MT is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join a close-knit, mission-driven therapy team in an outpatient setting. You will provide therapeutic and self-care interventions under the supervision of an OT and support coordinated care plans.

This role offers flexible service settings—clinic, home, and community—with strong compensation and professional support. Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply and relocation assistance may be negotiable.

Qualifications

• AA degree from ACOTE-accredited OTA program.
• Current Montana OTA license or ability to obtain licensure.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Compassion and patience when working with patients and families.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift patients, carry equipment, and stay active.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow treatment plans precisely.
• Strong organizational skills and respect for patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic and self-care interventions to patients under the supervision of a licensed OT.
• Monitor patient performance to ensure exercises are completed safely and correctly.
• Participate in team meetings and case conferences to support coordinated care plans.
• Document daily treatment notes and weekly progress accurately and on time.
• Maintain treatment areas, therapy equipment, and supplies.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment techniques under OTR guidance.
• Support administrative tasks to help keep clinic operations smooth.
