Avir at Kirbyville in Kirbyville, TX is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join an in-house rehab team servicing residents with person-centered care. The OTA will provide skilled services under OT supervision, document under Net Health EHR, and collaborate with families and caregivers to meet individualized care plans.

TX license as OTA and COTA certification are required; new grads are welcome to apply, with flexible schedules and competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in SNF/long-term care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of current treatment practices.
• Familiarity with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with diverse personalities.

Responsabilités

• Plan and administer treatment to residents and patients to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled OT services under supervision of an OT per physician orders.
• Respond to service requests and relay information to the OT.
• Ensure treatment delivered per care plan and complete required forms.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers; monitor responses to treatment.
• Attend required meetings designated by Rehab Director.

Occupational Therapy Assistant Responsibilities

• Plan and administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Occupational Therapist
• Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention.
• Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Occupational Therapy Assistant Skills

• SNF/Long term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.

Occupational Therapy Assistant Requirements

• Active/Valid Texas license as Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
