JOB SUMMARY

Cybertrol Engineering creates and delivers custom-engineered automation hardware and software solutions to manufacturing customers throughout the upper Midwest and around the world. The mission of Cybertrol’s OT Systems group (OT) is to provide the server, network, and software infrastructure upon which world-class manufacturing automation and information systems are built.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Workwithin cross-functional teams including Machine/Manufacturing Process Automation, Hardware Design, and Manufacturing Intelligence engineers to deliver the ideal customer experience
  • Tech visits: going onsite to patch networks and servers
  • When not performing tech visits, work will be in the lab setting up switches, servers, storage, etc.
  • Manage configuration and commissioning of micro-datacenter hardware and network equipment
  • Perform site operational technology assessments, developsite assessment reports, and providerecommendations for improvement
  • Createsystem documentation for both internal and external audiences
  • Comply with and contributeto the advancement of the department’s internal standards
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Degree in Computer Science or other IT-related field, or3+ years of professional experience
  • Desire to utilize a wide array of tools and technologies to solve a variety of customer problems
DESIRED EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE
  • Relevant experience within an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with VMware, vSphere, Cisco networking hardware, and Windows Server OS
  • Familiarity and comfortable with Agile/Scrum

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
Office Work:
  • Occasional Control panel IO powered checkouts in panelshopor customersite
Site Work:
  • Up to 40% travel to industrial manufacturing facilities.Typical locations are in NorthAmerica. Rarely travel to other continents
  • Overnight travel from a few days to several days at a time. Travel duration rarely exceedssevendays in a row
  • Ability toconsistentlylift50 lbs
On-Site working conditions may include:
  • Workaround construction equipment and personnel
  • Workaround production equipment and production personnel
  • Workin hot or cold areas
  • Work in noisy areas
  • Work up and down stairs, indoors andoutdoors
  • Electrical/Instrumentation Device Checkout and Troubleshooting. Includes voltage testing, equipment troubleshooting on a ladder, and light electrical assembly - signal wiring in control panels/instruments
  • Working and interfacing with operations, engineering, equipment supply, and construction personnel

Typical Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) Required:SafetyGlasses, Steel Toed shoes, hearing protection, and electrical safety PPE.Employees mustcomply withcustomer specific requirements and PPE.

Work may include working weekends, holidays, nightshift, and extended hours to meet deadlines and commissioning requirements.Occasionally on-site work can 12+ hours/day.
