Job description

The Consultant I will execute ABSC’s MDR Service for Industrial Cybersecurity projects for clients as a member of the ISOC Team. This includes providing support to the project manager with initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing projects. As part of the ISOC team, the consultant will maintain relationships with clients and key decision makers to help ensure our service matches and exceeds our client’s expectations.

What You Will Do:

  • Work on project tasks with other team members under the supervision of a task lead and/or a project manager to ensure 24x7 MDR services are delivered on schedule and within the available budget to meet customer requirements.
    • Monitor client environments and properly triage, escalate and investigate alerts in the ABSC ISOC infrastructure. Review project management plans to understand the scope, schedule and assigned work authorization.
    • Participate in client and project team meetings.
    • Assist with research and data analysis, to include but not limited to assisting with conducting customer or stakeholder analyses.
    • Prepare written documents, reports, and presentations.
    • Develop conclusions and recommendations, write reports, and assist with client presentations.
    • Track and report hours spent executing projects.
    • Work with individuals at all levels, provide input to reports and other deliverables, execute multiple assignments, meet agreed deadlines, and adjust to changing client demands.
  • Develop relationships with existing customers to facilitate the development of new business.
    • Communicate client needs to project managers and supervisors.
  • Identify new business opportunities with existing customers for current and/or additional services.
    • Participate in marketing activities, conference presentations, technical whitepapers.
    • Learn, understand and be conversant in ABS Group/ISOC products and services.
    • Review published reports and news articles about existing and potential emerging threats and how they may impact our customers.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in SOC or System Administration role.
  • 0-1 years of professional experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of ABS Group products and services.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Perform investigations and provide analysis.
  • Gather and analyze data effectively as it relates to ISOC services and client environments.
  • Apply critical thinking to a wide variety of problems.
  • Comprehend and analyze complex data sets and systems in our client environments and internal ISOC infrastructure.
  • Work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Spunk, Jira, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, safety, quality and environmental management systems.

Salary: $50-60k

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to the ISOC Lead.

Working Conditions:

Work will be performed remotely, with swing shift availability for nights, weekends, and holidays in a rotating schedule required.
