Job summary

Coalfire is seeking an OT Cybersecurity Consultant to assess OT environments across manufacturing, energy, and utilities. The role involves stakeholder interviews, documentation reviews, and maturity assessments with remediation guidance. You’ll work with project managers and delivery teams to manage scope and timelines.

Ideal candidates have hands-on ICS/SCADA experience, OT networking knowledge, and strong communication skills for presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in operational technology security, OT risk assessment, or related infrastructure security roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Direct experience in OT environments such as manufacturing, energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of control system technologies, automation architectures, and OT networking.
• Expertise in OT security assessment frameworks such as IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, and NERC CIP.
• Understanding of emerging OT regulatory requirements including NIS2 and EU Cyber Resilience Act.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills for technical/non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of OT security standards, regulatory developments, and industry trends.
• Support and guide OT risk and security discussions with technical teams, operations staff, and executives.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews and review OT-related policies, procedures, and architecture documentation.
• Assess client environments against OT security practices and compliance postures against IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, NIST CSF, NERC CIP, NIS2, EU Cyber Resilience Act.
• Develop maturity assessment and benchmarking reports identifying OT security gaps and remediation recommendations.
• Develop sequenced remediation roadmaps with timelines and implementation guidance.
• Advise clients on OT security program structure, governance, roles, and policies.
• Present assessment findings and strategic recommendations to clients and leadership.
