Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking an experienced Security Architecture Engineer II to own the OT security architecture across 160+ generation sites. You will design defenses for live ICS, set reference architectures, and lead the end-to-end OT toolchain with cross-functional partners.

The role requires at least 5 years in cybersecurity or control systems, with 3 years in OT/ICS, plus strong leadership and collaboration across engineering, operations, and SOC teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related fields or equivalent proven track record.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity, network engineering, or control systems engineering; at least 3 years focused on OT/ICS/SCADA.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and mentor colleagues.
• Experience with ISA/IEC 62443 and CIS Benchmarks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own OT security architecture and platform operation, including asset visibility, access control, monitoring, vulnerability management, and ICS-aware detection.
• Define reference architectures, secure baselines, and repeatable deployment standards for new and acquired sites.
• Onboard OT logs into enterprise monitoring, carve out OT-specific detection content, and partner with SOC on use cases and escalation.
• Perform OT risk assessments using MITRE ATT&CK for ICSE and drive a risk-based remediation cadence.
• Act as escalation point for OT security incidents, lead investigations and containment plans with safety and availability in mind.
• Define least-privilege roles, privileged access controls, MFA, and secure remote access for engineers and vendors; review third-party designs.
• Embed OT security requirements into projects, acquisitions, and vendor contracts; collaborate with OT operations and project engineering.
• Produce runbooks, mentor junior staff, and deliver hands-on training for site personnel.
