Job summary

UTMB Health in Galveston, TX invites applications for a full-time Program Director to lead the residential entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy program. We seek an accomplished leader with administrative excellence and accreditation expertise to oversee operations, faculty, and outcomes.

The successful candidate will ensure ACOTE compliance, coordinate with Fieldwork and Capstone activities, mentor faculty, and advance program quality and NBCOT pass rates while collaborating with

Qualifications

• A doctoral degree in OT or related field is required or eligible.
• Current licensure or eligibility for OT licensure in Texas.
• Minimum 8 years OT experience and at least 3 years in a full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities.
• Demonstrated administrative and leadership ability with ACOTE standards knowledge.
• Prior Program Director or ACOTE-accredited program experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day operations of the OT program and ensure teaching excellence.
• Direct self-study reports and CQI processes to meet ACOTE standards.
• Oversee student progression, advising, and program outcomes (NBCOT pass rates, graduation, retention).
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty; coordinate with Fieldwork and Capstone coordinators.
