Job Overview
The Therapy Department at our skilled nursing facility is looking for an OT Occupational Therapist to fill a PRN or part‑time position. You will be responsible for developing individual treatment plans, setting goals, and improving functional independence for residents. The role includes educating patients, families, and caregivers about diagnoses, progress, and therapeutic strategies. You will assess motor, communication, and cognitive skills and use therapeutic techniques to rehabilitate or maintain everyday activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement treatment plans to improve functional independence.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Assess physical, communication, and cognitive skills to determine treatment goals.
- Use therapeutic techniques to improve motor skills and daily activity performance.
- Document treatment plans, progress, and communicate effectively with families or caregivers.
Qualifications
- Active state OT license required.
- Experience in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) preferred.
- As needed PRN position; no guaranteed hours.
- Optional coverage across multiple locations with potential full‑time opportunities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
