Job summary

Adoration Health in Cambridge, MD is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team. You will provide patient-centered OT care in the home, evaluating needs, setting goals, and delivering therapy to help patients regain independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an OT education program approved by CAPTE.
• Current OT licensure in state and CPR certification required.
• Two years of experience in adult OT; home health preferred.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication; problem solving; basic math; PT skills per competency checklist.

Responsibilities

• Perform OT evaluation and treatment in home settings per physician orders; recommend adaptive equipment.
• Establish measurable goals and treatment plans to maximize independence.
• Maintain communication among treatment team, physician, patient, and family.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation for proper billing.
• Supervise OT assistants in direct patient care as applicable.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Occupational Therapist, You will:

• Perform occupational therapy evaluation and treatment of patients based upon physician orders, including recommendation and procurement of adaptive equipment
• Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to move patients toward their maximum level of independence and/or function
• Maintain communication among the treatment team, physician, patient, and family members as applicable
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services provided to ensure proper billing
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Education program approved by CAPTE
• Current Occupational Therapist licensure in State and American Heart Association CPR certification required; CPR certification may be offered and completed upon hire
• Two (2) years of experience in adult occupational therapy, home health experience preferred
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills; physical therapy skills per competency checklist
