Job summary

NHC HomeCare Columbia is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team. The OT will supervise and implement therapeutic techniques for rehabilitation of patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or diseases.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an ACOTE-accredited program, registered to practice in Tennessee, and able to work closely with physicians and staff to develop goals and evaluations. NHC offers a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program as certified by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
• Must be registered to practice in the state where the OT will work.
• Active member of state and national OT associations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises Occupational Therapy services.
• Provides OT services as ordered by the referring physician and delegates portions of the treatment program to the licensed OT Assistant.
• Instructs staff in delegated functions including precautions, special problems, contraindications, progress goals and re-evaluation plans.
• Evaluates, plans and supervises treatments with short-term and long-term goals for patients as approved by the physician with periodic re-evaluations.

NHC HomeCare Columbia is looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team!

The Occupational Therapist supervises and participates in the implementation of occupational therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or diseases.

Position Highlights

• Coordinates and supervises Occupational Therapy services.
• Provides Occupational Therapy services as ordered by the referring physician and delegates appropriate portions of the treatment program to the licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Instructs the Occupational Therapy staff in their delegated functions including precautions, special problems, contraindications, anticipated progress goals and plan for re-evaluation.
• Evaluates, plans and supervises treatments and programs including the establishment of short-term and long-term goals for patients as approved by the physician with periodic re-evaluations.
