Job summary

Phelps Health Waynesville is seeking a dynamic Occupational Therapist for a part-time outpatient role in Missouri. You will design treatment plans, implement therapeutic activities, and contribute to a fast-paced rehab team.

Requirements include an accredited OT degree, current state license, CPR, and strong communication. New graduates are welcomed; 24 hours weekly, 8:00am–5:00pm, in outpatient setting with supportive colleagues.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Accepting new Grads.

Responsibilities

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to help patients regain well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient’s family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

More about our team: Phelps Health Waynesville located in Waynesville, MO is an Outpatient facility Therapy Service is a full-service rehabilitation center for pediatric patients, adolescents and adults, including physical, occupational and speech therapy. We serve Rolla, Waynesville and the surrounding communities in south-central Missouri. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

We are looking for a dynamic Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping others and is a team player!

What you will do in this role

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to help him/her achieve as much as possible in regaining his/her well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices. You and your staff will play an important role in his/her recovery
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws
• Other duties as assigned
