Job summary

Cortlandt Healthcare in Cortlandt Manor, NY is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to join the rehabilitation team on site. You will interview with the people you will actually work with and benefit from structured mentorship in a collaborative environment.

We support new graduates with hands-on orientation and ongoing clinical education within a 35-facility network, offering growth through leadership tracks and specialty programs while prioritizing work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid OT license and registration in the state of practice, or license eligible.
• Ability to supervise OT Assistants per state practice act.
• Comfort with clinical documentation including evaluations, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge summaries.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate referred residents to determine medical status and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop individualized, measurable treatment plans and goals.
• Deliver OT interventions focused on ADL performance and safety to restore function.
• Complete evaluations, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge documentation on time.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and safety.
• Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing, nutrition, and social work to support discharge readiness.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
• Supervise OT Assistants and students in accordance with state laws.
