Job summary

Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital (WRCH) seeks a creative Occupational Therapy Supervisor to lead rehabilitation services within the Department of Mental Health. This full-time position requires licensure as a Registered Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts (NBCOT preferred), strong teamwork, and the ability to work a flexible

Qualifications

• Evidence based and best-practice theory, principles, treatment methods, techniques, and procedures of occupational therapy/rehabilitation.
• Experience with Occupational Therapy Assessment tools and related diagnostic/prognostic testing.
• Ability to supervise large rehabilitation department and coordinate activities.
• Massachusetts Licensed Occupational Therapist; NBCOT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients’ needs for therapy through interviews, observations, and review of medical records to determine functional skills.
• Develops and implements treatment plans with the Treatment Team based on assessment findings.
• Manages referrals and coordinates rehabilitation service schedule and clinical operations.
• Oversees rehabilitation treatment schedule and ensures adherence to Joint Commission and CMS standards.
• Supervises and trains Occupational Therapists, Rehab Counselors, interns, and students.
• Maintains accurate billing logs and attendance records for assigned units.
• Participates in committees and reports findings to the Rehabilitation Director.
