Job summary

AES Corporation seeks an entry-level Electrical Engineer to support the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Distribution Management System (DMS), SCADA, OMS and related OT platforms used to monitor and control the T&D network for DP&L and IPL.

The role requires basic power systems knowledge, hardware/software fundamentals, and a willingness to work with both modern and legacy technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred ABET-accredited).
• 1–3 years of relevant power/OT experience a plus.
• Foundational knowledge of hardware, software, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Assist in configuration, installation, and maintenance of OT systems for reliable grid operations.
• Support data models for ADMS power system applications.
• Help configure advanced applications like DP Flow, FLISR, and Volt/VAR Control.
• Integrate GIS data with ADMS and support data extraction/loading.
• Support daily OT operations for field teams and engineering groups.
