Job summary

Quinnipiac University in North Haven, CT seeks an Occupational Therapy Department Graduate Assistant to support multiple labs and assist faculty with teaching and scholarly activities.

The role requires a current OT graduate student with 30+ credits, reliable transportation, and strong time management, with opportunities to participate in teaching/learning and research. Weekend hours may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must be an Occupational Therapy Graduate student who has completed 30+ credits of the OTM or OTD professional level courses in our curriculum.
• Must have reliable transportation to the North Haven Campus.
• Strong ability to mentor other OT students during their path of study.
• Excellent time management to meet GA and academic expectations weekly.
• Willingness to participate in teaching/learning and scholarly endeavors.
• Ability to complete faculty tasks with distant supervision.
• Lifting up to 20lbs as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Support to department/faculty with administrative duties and scholarly endeavors.
• Assist in one or more labs (Clinical Anatomy & Kinesiology, Applied Neuroscience, OT for Children/Youth, OT for Adults/Older Adults II, Technology in OT Practice).
• Coordinate events (Open Houses, Admitted Students Day, panels) requiring weekend hours.
• Adapt to shifting roles based on departmental needs throughout the academic year.
