Jawonio Inc. is seeking an Occupational Therapist to conduct CPSE-oriented evaluations for preschool children aged 3–5. You will assess fine motor, sensory, visual-motor integration, self-help, and functional skills to determine eligibility for services and guide educational participation.

The role requires NYS OT licensure and NYSED registration, experience with CPSE/IDEA procedures, and strong report-writing skills. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team is essential.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Perform comprehensive OT evaluations for preschoolers (ages 3–5) under CPSE.
• Administer and interpret pediatric OT assessments (standardized and non-standardized).
• Prepare comprehensive written reports with findings, eligibility, and goals.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations and timelines.
• Collaborate with district staff to support educational participation and growth.

Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations for preschool-aged children referred through the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE). The evaluator will assess students' fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, self-help, and functional skills to determine eligibility for special education services and provide recommendations that support educational participation and developmental growth:• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for preschool children ages 3-5 in accordance with CPSE regulations and timelines.• Administer and interpret standardized and non-standardized assessments.• Assess fine motor, gross motor (as related to functional performance), visual perceptual, visual motor, sensory processing, self-care, and school readiness skills.• Prepare comprehensive written evaluation reports with clear findings, eligibility recommendations, and educationally relevant goals.• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.• Ensure evaluations are completed within required timelines.• Adhere to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and confidentiality requirements.Compensation is $150 per evaluation and $50 per hour for other work if/as neededNew York State License as an Occupational Therapist.Registration by the New York State Education Department.Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.Knowledge of CPSE procedures, IDEA, and New York State special education regulations preferred.Experience administering and interpreting pediatric occupational therapy assessment tools.Strong written communication and report-writing skills.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
