Job summary

Terrestris LLC seeks an Electrical Distribution OT Engineer to design and sustain high-voltage SCADA and OT distribution systems for FRCS support. The role involves configuring SEL relays, RTACs, PLCs, HMIs, and Ignition/OSI SCADA, with emphasis on DNP3, Modbus, and OPC UA integration.

You will ensure secure OT network architectures, contribute to RMF compliance, and create engineering docs while collaborating with cybersecurity and FRCS teams to modernize electrical distribution controls.

Qualifications

• Current Secret clearance required.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Oral and written English fluency.
• State’s Driver’s License.
• Knowledgeable in HVSCADA and OT networking.
• Experience with 600V–230kV electrical systems.
• Experience with SEL relays/controls and SEL RTACs.
• Expertise in IC systems – Inductive Automation, Ignition, SEL HMI, OSI SCADA.
• Experience deploying SCADA systems and designing electrical distribution controls.
• Proficiency with PLCs and HMIs from SEL, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider.
• Experience with real-time and historical data analysis.
• Experience with FRCS applications, protocols OPCUA, DNP3, MODBUS, and mirrored bits.
• Experience with Modbus to DNP3 for OT equipment.
• Experience with configuration/change/incident management.
• SEL testing and calibration documentation experience.
• Omicron testing equipment familiarity.
• Core Certification - Inductive Automation; Gold Certification - Inductive Automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, integrate, and maintain high-voltage SCADA and OT distribution networks (600V–230kV).
• Configure, program, test, and troubleshoot SEL relays, RTACs, PLCs, HMIs, Ignition, and OSI SCADA platforms; integrate DNP3, Modbus, OPC UA.
• Monitor real-time/historical data to identify trends, diagnose faults, improve reliability and resiliency.
• Perform preventive maintenance, firmware upgrades, software patches, relay testing, calibration validation, Omicron testing; document results.
• Implement secure OT network architectures and SCADA communications; support RMF, NIST SP 800-82, and accreditation activities.
• Develop engineering docs, operating procedures, network diagrams, electrical schematics; collaborate with FRCS engineers and cybersecurity personnel.
