Job summary

Sherpa 6 is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support CBP OTOC mission systems with a focus on vulnerability management, incident response, and RMF compliance. The role requires translating mission needs into cybersecurity requirements and collaborating across cross-functional teams to protect high-availability OT environments.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and the ability to obtain or maintain DHS suitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, information security, systems engineering, vulnerability management, or related field.
• Experience with RMF, ATO processes, and security documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity engineering support for OT/mission systems.
• Translate requirements into secure architectures and actionable security requirements.
• Identify vulnerabilities and risk, and coordinate remediation with engineering teams.
• Support RMF activities, ATO artifacts, and continuous monitoring.
• Assist with incident response and post-incident activities.
