Job summary

1898 & Co. is seeking an Industrial Cybersecurity Analyst to protect OT and IT environments for a federal client. You will gain hands-on experience with RMF/ATO processes and work on critical infrastructure projects at federal facilities.

The role combines cybersecurity engineering with risk management, vulnerability assessment, and control implementation across IT/OT systems, including ICS/SCADA components. On-site work in Norfolk, VA with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or related technical field.
• Internship experience preferred.
• Fundamental cybersecurity principles and recognized certifications.
• Knowledge of RMF/ATO processes and control frameworks.
• Experience with IT/OT security concepts and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Support a federal client at the Pentagon Reservation in Washington, D.C.
• Assist with RMF and ATO processes for facility-related control systems.
• Develop cybersecurity artifacts including system documentation, data flow diagrams, POA&M, and other deliverables.
• Maintain accreditation artifacts within eMASS and government platforms.
• Perform hands-on implementation and validation of cybersecurity controls across IT and OT.
• Harden and secure workstations, servers, networks, PLCs, and industrial control components.
• Conduct cybersecurity and vulnerability assessments of OT networks and systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across 1898 & Co. and Burns & McDonnell.
