Job summary

Athletico is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide treatment under the direction of a supervising Occupational Therapist. The role includes implementing therapy plans, documenting patient progress, and adapting care based on patient response.

Qualifications include an accredited OTA program with an Associate’s degree and current CPR certification. This is a full-time position across Athletico clinics with comprehensive employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program with Associate's Degree.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the rules and regulations of the state specific Occupational Therapy Practice Act, Code of Ethics of the American Occupational Therapy Association and organizational policies and procedures.
• Assists Occupational Therapists in assessment of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients referred to the clinic with a variety of physical disabilities.
• Implements treatment program that has been developed by the occupational therapist for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Modifies and/or adjusts treatment program through collaboration with supervising occupational therapist and within the plan of care outlined by the occupational therapist based upon the patient’s response to treatment.
• Maintains accurate electronic medical records of the occupational therapy services rendered.
• Provides written instructions to the patient and/or patient’s family detailing the recommended home program.
• Communicates patient’s status to the supervising occupational therapist, and/or referring physician. This includes participation in patient staffings and/or conferences.
• Completes necessary charge and statistical information to accurately reflect the service rendered to the patient.
• Achieves and maintains a level of productivity which meets or exceeds the standard established by the organization.
• Performs other duties as requested.
