Ochsner Health in Lafayette, LA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for PRN weekend coverage within the OLG Ortho Rehab Services. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed OT and participate in documenting progress and outcomes.

Required: Associate's degree from an accredited OTA program, eligibility for state licensure and BLS. Preferred: OTA license in state of practice.

Qualifications

• Requires: Associate's degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Eligibility for state OTA licensure by examination and current state license before start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: current OTA license in state of practice.

Responsabilités

• Performs occupational therapy treatments as prescribed by the physician under the supervision of a licensed OT.
• Documents patient status changes and reassessment information to therapists.
• Maintains patient records according to standards and policies.
• Participates in staff and committee projects.
• Achieves productivity levels set by administration.
• Educates and trains others within the discipline.
• Adapt communication to patient population and setting.
