Job summary

River Hills Health & Rehab in Kerrville, TX is seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. You will help expand therapy programming, including cognition and wound care, and implement additional programs to meet patient needs.

The role involves delivering skilled rehabilitation, counseling patients and families, and preparing discharge summaries. OTA license is required; new grads are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, and develop compliant care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions per regulatory standards.
• Stand and walk throughout the facility; assist with lifting, transferring and repositioning as needed.
• Administer procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, exercises, modalities, devices, and wound care.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers about physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring regulatory and clinical compliance.
