Job summary

The Rehabilitation & Nursing Center at Everett in Everett, MA is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant. You will provide OT plans and treatments per physician orders, communicating with residents and families, and ensuring quality care.

Ideal candidates have an associate’s degree in occupational therapy, MA license, and willingness to work with geriatric residents. Strong communication, supervision skills, and computer proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Must have current unencumbered MA license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Graduate of an accredited school with an associate’s degree in occupational therapy.
• Geriatric experience preferred.
• Current unrestricted driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Able to use necessary computer applications.
• Able to communicate professionally with internal and external resources.

Responsibilities

• Provides Occupational Therapy plan of treatments and modalities per physician orders.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Trains, supervises and disciplines subordinate staff as needed.
• Documents resident progress toward OT goals.
• Completes daily activity schedule and progress notes per facility policy.
• Provides resident, staff, and family education as directed.
• Maintains compliance with Federal and State regulations for rehab therapy.
