Job summary

Personal Healthcare Management LLC is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant in Massachusetts. The role involves delivering OT plans per physician orders, communicating with residents, families, and staff, and maintaining documentation in clinical software.

The position requires MA OTA licensure, an associate degree in OT, and a driver’s license. Geriatric experience is preferred. The role emphasizes compliance with regulations and collaborative team supervision.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate professionally with residents and staff.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficient with standard computer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Occupational Therapy plan of treatments and modalities per physician orders.
  • Communicate tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
  • Communicate effectively with residents with visual, speech, auditory, cognitive, physical and emotional impairments.
  • Train/supervise and discipline subordinate staff as needed.
  • Relate information regarding a resident’s condition to appropriate personnel and families.
  • Assist in planning, organizing and implementing goals and policies of the department.
  • Document resident progress toward OT goals and treatments.
  • Complete Daily Activity Schedule and progress notes per facility policy.
  • Provide resident, staff and family education as directed.
  • Comply with Federal and State regulations related to rehabilitation therapy.
  • Complete all documentation per professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize clinical software per policies and procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of OT practice within professional standards.
  • Follow facility policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality.
  • Report all instances of potential resident abuse, neglect, and misappropriation of resident property immediately.
  • Follow sanitation and infection control policies and procedures.
  • Keep Rehab manager and OT informed and updated.

Qualifications/Experience:
  • Must possess a current unencumbered MA license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Graduate of an accredited school with an associate’s degree in occupational therapy

  • A current unrestricted driver’s license and dependable transportation

  • Complies with all facility policies and procedures
  • Maintains confidentiality of facility and resident information
  • Reports all instances of potential resident abuse, neglect, and misappropriation of resident property immediately
  • Follows sanitation and infection control policies and procedures
  • Keeps Facility Rehabilitation manager and Occupational Therapist informed and updated appropriately
