Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental health, environmental science, or physical/biological science with at least 30 semester hours or 40 quarter hours required.
  • Certification as CEHP or REHS required.
  • Experience in OSTDS program and regulatory review processes recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Review OSTDS construction and repair permit materials in EHD and issue permits or request missing information.
  • Review OSTDS performance-based treatment system applications and issue permits or request missing information.
  • Travel to counties for fieldwork and conduct surveys, soil profiles, and assess system capacity when needed.
  • Enter data into EHD and communicate findings to owners/operators.
  • Participate in DEP OSTDS training and stay proficient in program policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and support surge activities as needed.
