Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States (Pennsylvania) seeks an experienced software engineer to join a team building a Network OSS delivery platform powering Comcast Business Service Assurance IT.

You will design, develop, and deliver proof-of-concept solutions for Service Assurance in a Tier1 Network Operations Manager environment, focusing on high-performance distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise Java development with Java 17+ and Spring stack.
• 7+ years RESTful API design and governance at scale (microservices).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on observability via Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Security awareness including Snyk.
• Linux system administration and Tomcat deployment.
• Experience building AI agents / RAG pipelines

Responsibilities

Job description

• You will be part of a team working on a Network OSS delivery platform in a fast-paced environment powering Comcast Business Service Assurance IT.
• You will be responsible for hands-on design, development, and providing proof-of-concept solutions to implement Service Assurance solutions powering Business Operations users on a Tier1 Network Operations Manager platform.

Requirements

• 7 + Years experience with enterprise Java (Java 17+, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Boot)
• 7 + Years of experience in RESTful API design and governance at scale – microservices
• AI tooling fluency (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT for dev workflows)
• Angular + TypeScript, Jest, ReactJS, Redux
• Hands on Monitoring & observability implementation (Splunk, Grafana and/or Prometheus)
• Nice to have: Distributed systems design concepts and good understanding of TMF API.
• Kafka (event-driven architecture, message broker patterns)
• API design and architecture – UML, flow and sequence diagrams
• CI/CD pipeline architecture (GitHub Actions, artifact promotion, multi-environment strategy)
• Application server management (Tomcat clustering, WAR deployment topology)
• Linux systems administration (SSH, shell scripting, server provisioning)
• Performance engineering (JVM tuning, Oracle query plans, APM tooling)
• SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management
• Building custom AI agents / RAG pipelines
