OSP Inspectors -QA/QC - Road warrior
Overview
We are seeking an OSP Inspector - QA/QC Compliance for an upcoming long-term contract role. You will be part of a long-haul fiber build from Harrington, WA to Sandpoint, ID. Per diem and mileage will be provided when away from your local market. Although we strongly prefer candidates within the build footprint. You will need your own vehicle; mileage will be paid at government rates (currently 70 cents per mile). When overnight stays are required, per diem will be paid.
Note: Work will be away from home for 8 weeks at a time.
Role
- Inspect OSP construction of a large fiber build from Harrington, WA to Sandpoint, ID.
- Verify the fiber build work that has been completed and capture the additional fieldwork needed for completion.
- QA/QC to verify compliance and that the work was completed correctly in the field; communicate daily updates to the project management team.
- Oversee, inspect, and monitor contractual field work, including excavations, boring, placement of hand-holes, fiber cable installation, grounding, and restoration monitoring.
- Validate as-built and project closeout documentation to confirm red-line changes have been incorporated into the final design and that all project completion requirements are met.
What will catch our eye
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in the telecommunications industry with a focus on fiber optic network deployment (e.g., fiber technician, inspector).
