Insight Global is seeking an OSP Fiber Project Manager to oversee multiple fiber construction projects from planning through delivery. You will coordinate aerial/underground deployments, manage routes and networks, and lead cross-functional teams to meet milestones and budgets.

A telecom company based in New York is looking for a OSP Fiber Project Manager to join their team. The Project Manager will spend their day overseeing multiple fiber construction projects from planning through final customer delivery, ensuring schedules, budgets, resources, and project milestones remain on track. They will work closely with engineering, permitting, construction, field operations, and external contractors to coordinate aerial and underground fiber deployments, manage route planning and construction activities, and resolve project risks before they impact delivery. This individual will regularly engage with municipalities, utility providers, and right-of-way authorities to support permitting efforts, while also reviewing construction documentation, fiber route maps, splice plans, and project financials. A significant portion of the role involves leading project status meetings, communicating updates to customers and executive stakeholders, managing vendors and contractors, monitoring budgets and change orders, and driving projects through construction, splicing, testing, and final acceptance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced telecommunications environment and have a strong understanding of OSP fiber construction, network deployment, and data center connectivity projects.
This position is hybrid, based out of one of the following locations: Colorado, Arizona, New York, New Jersey, or Ohio. This is a 6-month contract to hire position, with an hourly rate up to $40/hr.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Telecommunications, or a related field; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
5+ years of Project Management experience supporting telecommunications, fiber optic, utility, network infrastructure, or OSP construction projects.
Strong experience managing outside plant (OSP) fiber construction projects, including both underground and aerial deployments.
Deep understanding of fiber optic networks, telecommunications infrastructure, and OSP construction methodologies.
Experience overseeing fiber route planning, splicing operations, construction activities, and network deployment efforts.
Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Strong financial management experience including budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, invoicing, and change management.
Knowledge of telecom permitting processes, utility coordination, right-of-way requirements, and regulatory compliance. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
Experience supporting long-haul fiber, metro fiber, carrier networks, or data center infrastructure projects.
Experience with dark fiber deployments and transport network construction.
Experience utilizing Oracle, NetCracker, ESRI, Tableau, GIS platforms, Google Earth, or similar reporting and mapping tools.
Knowledge of fiber splicing practices, OTDR testing, fiber counts, and construction acceptance procedures.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Experience working with hyperscale data center customers, enterprise connectivity projects, or wholesale telecommunications providers.
Previous background in OSP Engineering, Construction Management, Fiber Design, or Telecommunications Operations.
