Job summary

The OSP Inspector III will have experience managing teams of inspectors and be comfortable with interfacing with client management and vendor management to oversee inspections, audits, and transfers. This role requires a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel on short notice.

The inspector will document inspections electronically, communicate via email and phone, and perform manual checks using printed spreadsheets when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience performing Wireline Field Inspection for Aerial Sites.
• Capable of Data Collection and Reporting.
• Experience performing wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Proficient in OSP Construction Standards.
• Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Experience with mapping tools such as MapPoint and general software.
• Good communication skills.
• Time management and organization skills.
• Construction contractor management skills.
• Experience in managing teams of inspectors and their workflow.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Ensure underground, buried and aerial plant facilities meet current standards through inspections and corrections by contractors.
• Document all inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically and communicate via email and cellular phone.
• Occasionally perform inspections, audits, and transfers manually using printed spreadsheets.
• Manage teams of inspectors and interface with client management and vendor management.
