Title - OSP Field Engineer

Long-term Project.

Location - Onsite in Eureka, California.

Job Description:

Startech Networks, Inc. is seeking an experienced OSP Field Engineer with US Work Authorization to join our team in Missouri. The successful candidate must possess the necessary knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience outlined below. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of various AT&T-related OSP Wireline processes and guidelines. This is a 1099 contract position based on Fielding Unit pay.

Job Details:
  • Understand and perform scoping of OSP-related projects.
  • Possess good Customer, Vendor, and Project Management Skills.
  • Communicate effectively via phone, email, and in person.
  • Design, provision, and document outside plant fiber optic cables (Underground, Aerial, and Buried).
  • Understand manhole and conduit design.
  • Read and interpret work prints from drafting systems such as AutoCAD and ARAMIS.
  • Take field notes following OSP Design Principles; transferring notes into KMZ files is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Google Earth is a plus.
  • Understand pole loading and ROW permit requirements.
  • Familiarity with FTTx and AT&T GPON design is a plus.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Willing to undertake short business trips as needed and maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional weekend work.
  • Manage multiple projects efficiently, adhering to work timelines.
  • Organized with the ability to track work due dates and expectations.
