Job summary

Davey Resource Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced OSP Fiber Project Manager to oversee construction and implementation of Outside Plant fiber optic infrastructure.

This field-based role requires leading crews, managing schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communication across Nebraska, with extensive travel and on-site supervision. You will coordinate with subcontractors, utility companies, and regulators to meet technical specs, safety rules, and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in OSP fiber project management or related field.
• 3+ years in fiber splicing management.
• Strong understanding of OSP fiber design, permitting, and construction.
• Knowledge of industry standards (NESC, NEC, OSHA, DOT).
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and scopes for OSP fiber deployments.
• Oversee permitting processes including ROW, easements, and pole attachments.
• Ensure on-time, in-scope, and on-budget project delivery.
• Supervise field construction activities: aerial/underground fiber, splicing, testing.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and utilities to resolve field challenges.
• Conduct site visits to inspect quality and safety compliance.
• Track materials and workforce deployment to optimize efficiency.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, internal teams, and regulators.
• Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates.
• Address project risks and conflicts proactively, ensuring OSHA/NESC compliance.
