Job summary

Davey Resource Group, Inc. seeks an OSP Fiber Project Manager to oversee construction and implementation of Outside Plant fiber optic systems. You will manage schedules, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications on field sites across Michigan, with substantial travel.

The role requires supervising internal staff and subcontractors, coordinating with utilities, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Strong leadership and multi-project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in OSP fiber project management, construction, or telecommunications infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of OSP fiber optic design, permitting, and construction processes.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (NESC, NEC, OSHA, DOT, etc.).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and scopes of work for OSP fiber deployments.
• Oversee permitting processes, including ROW, easements, and pole attachment agreements.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Supervise field construction activities, including aerial and underground fiber installation, splicing, and testing.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and utility companies to resolve field challenges.
• Conduct site visits to inspect quality and progress, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Track materials, equipment, and workforce deployment to optimize efficiency.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, internal teams, government agencies, and stakeholders.
