JSI invites candidates to join as a Contract Administrator on its Fiber Design & Implementation team in Salt Lake City, UT. You will be part of the OSP – Engineering & Design department.

Position Overview
As an OSP Contract Administrator, you will manage client contracts and perform a range of administrative, report‑preparation, and clerical tasks. Your work will be independently executed as part of a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Support the engineering team with administrative and clerical assistance.
- Read, understand, and administer client contract terms.
- Prepare internal tracking reports and complete required administrative tasks.
- Prepare and send bid packages to contractors, ensuring all required documentation is obtained.
- Review bid proposals for accuracy, execute contract documents, secure proper signatures, and oversee submission to the Rural Utilities Service as needed.
- Review monthly contractor invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with contractor and outside plant staff.
- Prepare and send payment recommendations to the client for all contractor invoicing.
- Track pre‑billed units and owner‑furnished materials used during construction.
- Calculate and withhold retainage from payment recommendations on applicable contracts.
- Close out contracts by obtaining required signatures and approvals.
- Maintain records of contracts, correspondence, and closeouts.
- Navigate non‑standard client contracts and administer tasks required by the contract terms.
- Participate in training for new systems, processes, procedures, or reports as needed.
Required Qualifications
- College associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a contract administrator, HR representative, business administrator, contract manager, or in a related field.
- Experience in the telecommunications industry and/or with the Rural Utilities Service is preferred.
- The candidate must be organized, detail‑oriented, and willing to investigate questions or problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and with clients.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
