Milenium Inc. is seeking a full-time OSP Construction Project Engineer! If you’re an experienced telecom construction professional eager for a fast-paced, hands-on opportunity, ready to help us grow, and passionate about driving process improvements to deliver best-in-class infrastructure, we want to hear from you!

Our OSP Construction Project Engineers build strong relationships with local communities and contractor partners to facilitate the Outside Plant (OSP) construction and installation of fiber networks within specific markets. Milenium Inc.’s critical infrastructure projects include directional drilling, trenching, fiber pulling, splicing, and aerial construction. This role requires regular onsite presence at multiple jobsites in the assigned market—successful candidates must reside within or near the local area where work is being performed. Company vehicle provided, and travel expenses are covered.

Essential Functions

- Build and maintain relationships with local subcontractors and partners to manage OSP crews’ activity—ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

- Track crew progress and report regularly to internal teams, delivering critical information to keep leadership updated on job status.

- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture at all worksites in line with Milenium’s “Nobody Gets Hurt” mission.

- Engage with municipalities, utilities, and community members to drive progress and address any neighborhood concerns.

- Ensure OSP subcontractor crews meet NESC code for aerial construction and comply with all safety regulations and requirements.

- Support internal teams with materials forecasting, scheduling, and permitting.

- Perform other duties as assigned, including participation in departmental and cross-functional projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and influencing abilities.

- Proven project management experience with multiple OSP worksites and concurrent goals.

- Proficient with computers and software, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Experience with project tracking tools is a plus.

- Strong knowledge of OSHA rules, site safety, National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and relevant construction and telecommunications regulations.

- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Demonstrates a strong work ethic—prompt, consistent, and driven by deadlines and priorities.

Other Experience & Requirements

- 5+ years’ technical experience in OSP Engineering, Construction, or Operations.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

- Valid, fully unencumbered Driver’s License required.

- Proactive, independent, and able to take initiative to stay on-task and on-target.

- Fiber or telecom industry experience essential.

- Must reside within or near the local market where work is being performed (travel expenses covered for job-related travel).

Physical Requirements

- Frequent time spent walking and standing outdoors at construction worksites.

- Must wear appropriate clothing and footwear for safety.

- Periods of sedentary work using a computer and other peripherals.

- Regular use of sight, speech, hearing, comprehension, and reasoning.

Compensation

- Competitive pay, commensurate with experience and market standards.
