Job description

We are currently recruiting for an OSP / Fiber Project Manager for our client in the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidates will have a background working greenfield sites in the telecommunications industry managing OSP fiber projects. This is a 100% REMOTE position.

Pay: $40/hr DOE
  • Create and maintain high level spreadsheets to monitor all projects
  • Receive and report daily progress and issues of jobs
  • Greenfield experience with Fiber / OSP is a must
  • Reviews and issue all work to contractors
  • Attend high-level meeting daily
  • Proficient in Excel, Smartsheet's, SiteTracker, and other programs used to monitor all work
  • Work with engineering team for solutions to issues found in the field or on a work print
  • Maintain fast-paced work schedule for project completion
  • Responsible for management of projects including activities related to below-ground fiber installation, hub construction, node construction and related utility make-ready.
  • Manage all external vendors necessary for timely completion and within budget.
  • Order and track delivery of 3rd party materials
  • Oversee site construction, managing schedule and subcontractors
  • Position requires experience with outside plant and inside plant cable construction in underground facilities
  • Knowledge of all issues related to local and state permitting, pole and conduit licensing procedures from Utilities
  • Coordinate all construction activities with local and state agencies with regards to permitting and licensing
  • Knowledge of Outside Plant Construction techniques (aerial & underground)
  • Working knowledge of NESC, NEC and OSHA standards
