BAE Systems Maritime Solutions in San Diego, California, is seeking an Outside Machinist Journey Person for the 2nd shift to maintain and repair naval ship components. You will work with deck machinery, valves, pumps, and propulsion-related hardware, using blueprints and measurement tools to ensure reliability and mission readiness.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to read and follow instructions, and NAVSEA certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Understanding of reading, writing, and comprehending instructions.
• Ability to carry out tasks in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Knowledge of scale and tape measure use for measurements.
• Proficiency with measuring devices such as rulers, micrometers, and power tools.
• Awareness of basic blueprint knowledge.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and navigate various sizes of staircases and ladders.
• Trained in all annual NAVSEA Standard Items.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $59,800 - $91,645
