Tower WAV is a transportation company that provides wheelchair-accessible rides on ride-share platforms. We seek a mid-level Safety and Compliance Associate to join our team. As the Safety and Compliance Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our safety standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and promoting a safety culture throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze safety metrics to identify trends, implement corrective actions, and measure the effectiveness of safety programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and proactively address emerging safety issues.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
  • Foster a safety awareness and accountability culture by promoting safety initiatives and engaging employees at all levels.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in safety and compliance management, preferably in the transportation industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation safety and compliance (e.g., DOT, FMCSA, OSHA).
  • Strong analytical skills to assess safety risks, conduct investigations, and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train employees and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Professional certifications in safety and compliance (e.g., CSP, CHMM, CDS) are highly desirable.
