Job summary

Brightpoint Community College in the Greater Richmond area invites applications for an OSHA-certified adjunct to teach occupational safety and its application in the workplace. This part-time position supports two sections meeting on Thursday mornings during the fall semester.

The ideal candidate has five years in general industry safety; a degree in occupational safety and health or CSP/CIH may substitute for experience. OSHA 500 certification will be considered.

Qualifications

• Five years of general industry safety experience.
• Degree in occupational safety and health, CSP or CIH may substitute for two years of experience.
• OSHA Trainer certification (OSHA 500) will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Teach all aspects of occupational safety and its workplace application.
• Instruct OSHA standards and the OSHA Act (OSHA 10).
• Course will have two sections meeting on Thursday mornings in the fall semester.
