Job summary

Granules Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is expanding its OSD manufacturing operations in Chantilly, VA and seeks an Associate Director / Senior Manager of Engineering to lead all engineering and facility operations. The role focuses on equipment reliability, facility systems, capital projects and continuous improvement while maintaining cGMP compliance.

The position oversees approximately 31 employees (20 at GPI and 11 at GCH) and requires strong leadership across large teams in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years minimum of engineering experience in pharmaceutical OSD manufacturing (12+ years preferred).
• Deep knowledge of OSD equipment and facility infrastructure (HVAC, cleanrooms, utilities).
• Leadership of 30+ staff across multiple sites is preferred.
• Experience with US regulatory standards, FDA cGMP, OSHA requirements is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and facilities teams supporting OSD manufacturing, packaging, utilities, and facility systems.
• Oversee installation, qualification and maintenance of OSD equipment (granulators, fluid bed dryers, tablet presses, capsule fillers, coaters, blenders, packaging lines).
• Manage HVAC, cleanrooms, compressed air, chilled water, boilers, vacuum systems and other utilities; ensure cGMP compliance.
