Job summary

INEOS Aromatics in Wando, SC seeks an OSBL (Outside Battery Limits) Superintendent I to lead utilities, wastewater controls, and shipping operations with a strong safety and reliability focus.

You will coach shift supervisors, drive risk assessments, uphold Lifesaving Rules, and align unit costs with plant objectives while delivering strong operational performance and continuous improvement. This role requires 15+ years in industrial chemical operations and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 Years Industrial Chemical Operations Experience.
• Minimum 5 Years Leadership Experience.
• Site subject matter expert for Marine Terminal operations.
• Ability to learn and comply with wastewater regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion safety performance by setting expectations, conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, safety observations, and ensuring timely completion of corrective actions.
• Drive safety and operational planning and execution, including auditing isolation blind checklists and operating procedures.
• Establish and maintain high standards for asset care, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead the Unit Manufacturing Team (UMT) to achieve operational goals and scorecard objectives.
• Develop clear team objectives, accountability measures, and performance standards.
• Coach, develop, and manage Shift Supervisors through performance management and training.
